Subject: Cancellation of Independence Dinner Dance Scheduled for August 16th
Dear Members of the Jamaican American Community,
We hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits.
We regret to inform you that the Independence Dinner Dance, originally scheduled for August
16, 2025, has been cancelled. This decision was not made lightly, but after careful consideration,
we recognized that there was not sufficient time to properly plan and organize the event in a way
that reflects the quality and spirit of excellence our community deserves.

Our goal has always been to host meaningful events that bring us together in celebration and
unity. While we are disappointed that we must cancel this occasion, we remain committed to
creating future opportunities to gather, celebrate, and support one another—especially our efforts
to assist underserved youth in their educational journeys.
