It is no secret that the COVID 19 pandemic has had some unfavorable effects causing learning set-backs, but Read Across Jamaica Foundation is excited to continue its mission to help increase literacy rates over the next 5 years and encourages the Diaspora to be a part of this movement. JACO supports this worthy effort and encourages our members to do so also. This GoFundMe Literacy Campaign launched on May 3-Read Across Jamaica Day and supports the Tablet Project as presented to JACO Village Members in November 2021.
The goal is to equip students with the basic classroom library resources and technology needed to enable students to participate fully in general instruction. Books purchased will be written/created by Caribbean authors. REMEMBER: This campaign runs through the end of May.
